Sheriff's Office Fees
The Linn County Sheriff's Office requires a large portion of the county budget to operate with few ways of generating revenue. To help offset part of the burden on taxpayers, some Missouri laws have provided the Sheriff's Office with the authority to collect fees for services that are provided to the public.
Per those Missouri Revised Statutes, the services that have an associated cost are listed below.
Civil Process Service

FEES FOR PROCESSING AND SERVICE
Mileage $0.67 per mile
(Mileage is charged for each mile from LCSO to the exact address for service and back to LCSO.)
Printing / Copying $0.10 per page

Actual cost of any disk, tape or other medium used for duplication.
Actual cost for fees associated with duplicating any maps, blueprints or plats.

Actual cost for mailing records.
